Rebecca's Writing Diary

There's nothing like starting the New Year with a new book out.
I finally finished my latest novel, 'His Leather and Lace Bride,' and you can find it right now on Amazon, Smashwords and later other online outlets.

What does 'leather and lace' mean to you? Sometimes it refers to the gear worn by the motorcycle brigade both on road and off. At other times it suggests the Wild West, when men were men and women were glad of it. Whatever the context, to me it just speaks of polar opposites: a manly man and a girly woman.

And that is how I think of my hero and heroine in this novel. When the story opens, Californian girl Carla is engaged to marry a 'nice but dull' man who seems to tick all the right boxes. But when she is swept off her feet by a rakish Englishman she suddenly realises there is more to life than cooking and babies! Wearing his sexy leather-and-lace corsets brings out the bad girl in her, and after that her fiance just doesn't shape up.

Her dilemma is eventually resolved in an unexpected way, and Carla finds herself in Paris, the city of Romance. But there are a few more surprises in store for her before she can settle for the man of her dreams. One thing's for sure: 'leather and lace' have changed Carla's life forever!

Why not try a sample of this novel and see if it appeals? I do hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed writing it.
